同“溫德姆華美達”、“如家和頤”兩品牌說幾句

今日,本人受溫德姆酒店集團華美達中國總經理年會邀請,赴無錫參加活動,從好友中得悉,本屆年會可能是最后一屆。因為具體操持人將離開華美達酒店品牌,所以這樣一個成熟的“品牌年會”活動可能就此止步。我作為溫德姆酒店集團大中華區特別顧問今年是第一次出席“自己人”的盛典活動,心中有些兒“撞鹿”。
 
前幾日,從網上和手機微信上看到如家酒店集團“和頤酒店”女顧客“遇襲事件”的各種報道,驚詫之余,也為酒店業發展和酒店管理者的生存與去留有多思考。
 
溫德姆酒店集團曾是全球最大的酒店集團,肯定地說,“溫德姆”單靠一家一家酒店去投資經營,肯定是做不太大的,在企業發展的幾十年歷程中,“溫德姆”是靠多次重組、并購,靠眾多品牌的集合而達到全球第一的。
 
那么“如家”呢?同樣如此。如家酒店集團已有3,000多家酒店,是全球最大的經濟型酒店連鎖集團,它也是通過幾次融資、并購后達到今天這個規模的。正當“如家”在“經濟型堅石”的基礎上去發展中端特色酒店關鍵時刻,“事件”再次降臨在“如家”頭上。在“如家”的“和頤酒店”出現如此“事件”當然是不應該的,但是,出現該“事件”是一個酒店或一個酒店集團的單方面問題嗎?當然不是,現在社會道德水平線普遍在下降,道德的覺醒意識依然持續缺失……據悉這次“耍流氓”那“渣男”是河南人,河南人又怎么了?中國當下的社會總體文明和道德教育怎么提升?國家有關管理部門要給予相當的重視,不是一味地給予“輿論”方面的宣泄,何況,如家酒店集團和其總裁孫堅也已幾次向社會和當事人予以了誠摯聲明和道歉。如果這個“事件”是發生在一個街頭或是一個廣場怎么辦?估計“遇襲女”既得不到一個道歉,也得不到承諾補償的“些許銀子”。
 
回過頭來說到“溫德姆酒店集團”,這是一個老牌的國際酒店集團,多個品牌進行整合,在中國也經營管理了1,000多家不同檔次的酒店,““華美達”只是其中的一個品牌,據不完全統計,在中國已有70家左右的酒店。
 
當然,“華美達”也是在中國做得比較好的一個酒店品牌,但是該品牌在中國的發展還是比較保守,沒有比較好地利用自身良好的品牌進行快速發展和市場定位。也許,溫德姆集團的劉晨軍總裁有更好的通盤考慮,比如說,下一步將會更好地發展“溫德姆大酒店”這個主打品牌,等等。
 
當下中國,是一個個性化、特色化發展的大時代,任何一個個性和特色階層都將有其生存和發展的魅力空間,我認為中國的中端或中端偏上的特色酒店發展會是一個利好。“華美達”、“和頤”這樣的酒店連鎖還是有它廣闊發展市場空間的,關鍵是怎么做,誰來做的問題。
 
天賜良機,上帝給了“如家”和孫堅總裁一次絕好的“危機公關”機會,您們的“如家”、“和頤”要“勇于面對,向難而生”!每一個不利和困難的風口都會有一道華美的彩虹在等待著您們。作為酒店聯盟的負責人,我在寫這篇小文的同時,真心祝愿“和頤”和“華美達”兩酒店品牌在新時期的發展道路上更具魅力!
 
Opinions about Wyndham and Home Inn
 
I was invited by Wyndham Ramada general manager of China to attend annual meeting in Wuxi and heard that this annual meeting might be the last one for concrete operator would leave Ramada, so such a mature brand annual meeting might stop from now on. As the special adviser of Wyndham in China region, I attend our own people’s grand ceremony for the first time this year and I was very excited.
 
A few days ago, I saw different kinds of report about Home Inn Yitel female customer in a shock. Later, I thought about the survival and future of hospitality development and hotel managers.
 
Wyndham once was the largest global hotel group. It’s sure that Wyndham can’t develop so large by investing and managing hotels one by one. During several decades of enterprise development, Wyndham achieves global NO.1 by reconstructing and merger many times, and also the gather of many brands.
 
Then how about Home Inn? The answer is the same as Wyndham. Home Inn is the largest global economic hotel chain, which has more than 3,000 hotels, and it reached today’s size by financing and merger many times, too. Just on the key time when Home Inn is developing middle special hotels on the basic of economy foot stone, “accident” happens to Home Inn. It mustn’t happen such an accident in Home Inn Yitel. But is the happening of that accident due to one-sided problem of a hotel or a hotel group? Of course not. Nowadays social morality level is declining, morality awakening awareness is lacking. It’s reported that bullying man is from Henan. What’s wrong with Henan people? How to improve China’s current overall civilization and morality education? Relevant national administrative department should give considerable attention instead of venting on the public opinion side. Still less, Home Inn and it’s president Sun Jian has declared and apologized to society and party many times. What if this accident happens on the street or square? I estimated that female attacked could not get an apology or promised compensatory money.
 
And let’s talk about Wyndham, an old brand international hotel group which has integrated many brands and managed more than 1,000 hotels of different level. Ramada is only one brand of Wynhdam. According to incomplete statistics, Ramada has opened about 70 hotels in China.
 
Ramada is a better hotel brand in China for sure. But this brand’s development in China is still conservative, which hasn’t make rapid expansion and market positioning by using self good brand. Maybe Leo Liu, the president of Wyndham has a better overall consideration, such as better developing Wyndham hotel this main brand in the next step, etc.
 
Current China is in a personalized and special time for each individualized and distinctive stratum to survive and develop. I think Chinese middle or above middle special hotel’s development will be good. Hotel chain like Ramada and Yitel still has its broad developing market space. The key is how to do and who is to do.
 
God sent a chance for Home Inn and its President Sun Jian to face a brilliant crisis PR. Your Home Inn and Yitel should be brave to face and born to challenge! Every disadvantage and hard wind gap has a colorful rainbow waiting for you. As the principal of World Hotel Association, while writing this short essay, I hope Yitel and Ramada these two hotel brands more charming in the new period of developing paths.
